As mentioned previously, due to Lyme Disease affecting both me and Laura, we are planning on selling our homestead, the beautiful yard we built up ourselves.
Today we met with several real estate agents who all loved the house and yard, and that was encouraging. We just don't have the energy to keep it all up. We're hoping to move out October/November into a house we're building next door - half the size, more efficient, and minimal landscaping, something we should be able to manage for years to come. So it's both hard to let go, but exciting to move forward.
We did manage to harvest both honeyberries and saskatoons (the latter is almost finished), and this worked out because of extended family that graciously helped keep our house clean. Thanks!
